I am an associate professor in the Design Studies Department in The School of Human Ecology and in Virtual Environments at the Wisconsin Institute for Discovery (WID). Much of my current research revolves around the simulation of real-world environments in virtual reality.
Submit a Manuscript to Virtual and Augmented Reality: Theory, Methods, and Applications
I am acting as a guest editor for the the special issue of Applied Sciences (ISSN 2076-3417), Virtual and Augmented Reality: Theory, Methods, and Applications. The call specifically looks at:
-
Explorations of the theoretical underpinnings that create virtual or mixed reality experiences;
- Explorations of the human side of virtual and augmented reality, including work related to perception, embodiment, and user-interface design;
- Explorations of the development of hardware and/or software solutions that create novel forms of virtual and/or augmented reality experiences;
- Applications that utilize virtual and augmented reality technologies for novel purposes.
The deadline for manuscript submissions is 20 September 2024.

CAVE Tour
The Virtual Environments Group is offering free CAVE tours to show off plant tomograms in VR on Wednesday, March 1st, from 1 PM to 6 PM.
